How Can I Make My Skin Lighter Down There
March 22 18.00 - Presidio against the war in Libya
some time you could imagine, and in recent days it has become clear: in the late afternoon Saturday 19 March, with the first air attack against Libya, the war officially started.
What stands before us is a scenario that we know well. Who over the years has opposed the wars that bloodied the planet, it is clear that this is just rhetoric of humanitarian wars. The strategy of targeted attacks and smart bombs in the name of safeguarding human rights is nothing but a way to justify in the public eye the defense of economic and geopolitical interests.
v The same interests that have brought down a deafening silence on the events in Egypt and Tunisia when he entered the scene Libya. In the two countries of the Maghreb workers, students and unemployed people have claimed its own leading role managing to topple pro-Western regimes in the foot for decades and triggering a "domino effect" in other Arab countries. Although the summit there was a simple change of facade, the composition of the protests was very different from Libya.
If the first demonstrations against Gaddafi had an approach influenced by the influence of the examples of Tunisia and Egypt, despite the different economic and social situation of the country, subsequent developments have rapidly changed the scenario. As demonstrated by the impairment of the National Transitional Council with the Libyan and French choices by some of the same positions on the "No-fly zone", now seems to be closer to a clash between two factions, ethnic and geographical area to a popular uprising.
stand against the war in Libya does not mean support for Gaddafi, but at the same time would make their surface positions of those who today are providing a cushion to interfere American and European imperialism in the Maghreb.
its part, the Italian government, after some initial hesitation, said he wanted to conduct this war as leader. He made several bases available to the "coalition of the willing" arming their flocks, making sail their ships and providing direction for Naples as a place of NATO military operations. The Italian capital, frightened by the possible consequences of the crisis because of the strong Libyan interests and ties, has prompted the government to impose a firm stance. The dynamism of France, England and the U.S. forced the Italian government to attend to avoid being excluded from a future division of the pie.
The Libyan issue has also been able to offer us an excellent demonstration of "Italian unity" in keeping with the commitment in the war in Yugoslavia, the Democratic Party has chosen to support the decisions conflict with the conviction of the Berlusconi government. Once again we are left to deal with reality: in Italy there is no political force capable of providing an alternative to the exploitation and war, except that, to be built, for those who want to oppose in a given state current circumstances.
